Kata

Kata in Kimura Shukokai Karate is not just a series of movements but a dynamic, energetic and powerful expression of martial arts mastery. It's an opportunity for us to hone our techniques, perfect our form, and cultivate the mental discipline and focus required to succeed in martial arts.

Through the repetition of these movements, we develop the muscle memory necessary for rapid and precise execution of techniques. Each kata represents a different set of skills and techniques, allowing us to challenge ourselves in new ways and continually improve our skills.

In addition to its practical applications, Kata is a visually stunning display of martial arts mastery. When performed by a skilled practitioner, it's a mesmerising display of speed, power, and precision that will leave you in awe. SKF teaches dozens of katas and has strict syllabus for grading taught in all of our Dojos and through regular courses from our HQ, so no matter where you train you know you will be learning from the best.
